2018 Baden Races

H+P

Another weekend, another awesome race experience with the squad! What a cool collection of races this time around: a 5K, a 7-miler with a crazy hill, and a duathlon! Props to Run Waterloo for giving us the local outlet to compete and enjoy the endurance racing community!

First on the team was Iron Luke with an awesome 1:19 finish time.  This was also good enough for 3rd OA and 1st in his AG.

Mark Cullen was the next H+Per to cross the line with a very solid 1:22.  This brought him in 7th OA and and 3rd in his AG.

Right behind Mark was Jess with the OA win for women powered by a 35km/h ride bringing her in with a total time of 1:24!

Jan, using this race as a tune-up training effort, came in with an awesome 1:27 finish time placing 2nd in his AG.  Huge props to him for all of his work helping to make this event happen, including promoting it and helping to attract the deep competition to setting up transition at 6AM race day!

Merzi had an awesome race, coming in right behind Jan with a 1:29 finish, placing 3rd in his AG.

Coming back from a winter of slacking, Nate still had a solid performance with a time of 1:32 good for 4th in his AG.

Coach Emily was in next for the time with a time of 1:35.  This was good for 4th OA for women and 2nd in her AG!

Michelle was in next for the team with a very strong multi-sport debut, finishing in 1:52 and 4th in her AG!

Jodi was in not far behind Michelle with a very solid 1:54, placing 10th OA for women!

 

7-MILER RESULTS

1st in for the team was Aidan Rutherford.  He posted a time of 40:39, good for 2nd OA on the day…as well as 2nd fastest of all time!

Dave Rutherford posted an awesome 45:50 finish time, placing 5th OA and winning his AG.

Vicki was in next for the team, placing 1st OA for women and 10th OA with a time of 49:46!

Rebecca also had a strong racing, running 52:00, placing 2nd OA for women and 1st in her AG! 1-2 for H+P baby!

Sam was in next on the team (running with his BFF/ BAE Jon F), finishing in 52:44 good for 2nd in his AG.

Manny ran a very strong 55:39, placing 4th OA for women and 2nd in her AG!

Mike Hewitson somehow is killing his reputation as a social-only member…he’s kind of getting into marginal fitness!  He ran 1:00:24, good for 2nd in his category!

Meredith continues to get better and better, running an outstanding 1:08:29, placing 3rd in her AG!

 

5K RESULTS

 

Our Results

New to H+P, Ian showed he has wheels!  He posted an awesome 17:57, good for the OA win!  This also gave him a H+P C-Standard!

Andrew showed once again that his running fitness continues to improve! He ran an awesome 19:00, good for 4th OA.

Robyn was in next for the team, once again coming away with the win for women!  She ran 19:04 and also placed 6th OA.

Aaron is back in action running 22:06 which placed him 1st in his AG!

Howie ran very well, posting 22:34, good for 2nd in his AG.

Tracey Kuchma continue to thrive, running yet another AG winning time of 23:45!

Just to recap, H+P FILLED the OA podiums today including:

Duathlon: 1st OA  for women (Jess), 3rd OA men (Luke)

7-Miler: 2nd OA men (Aidan), 1st and 2nd OA for women (Vicki, Rebecca)

5K: 1st OA for both men and women (Ian, Robyn)
