H+P had an outstanding performance at our biggest race of the year! With over 60 members racing today, we managed to smash PB’s, career bests and World Ranking times.
The team was lucky enough to have our friends at New Balance join us for a day of racing and motivation. Alex Genest stopped by for a motivational talk and led us down the 5k course, finishing in an unbelievable 14:43.

Sean was in first for the team, running 16:26, placing 8th overall and 3rd in his AG.
Jordan ran a new WR Career Best and PB of 16:40, finally coming in ahead of his longtime rival Nick Burt. Jordan finished 10th overall and 3rd in his AG. This also makes him the winner of the year-long sub 16:45 t-shirt challenge! He will claim his prize at Mondays practice.
Greg, after just crushing a new marathon PB last weekend, ran yet another a new PB in 16:47 in the 5k! How? We do not know.
Erin was in next for the team, accomplishing a huge goal of breaking 17 and finishing in an outstanding 16:49. She placed FIRST overall for women, and 14th overall. This also earned her a new H+P club record!
Nick finished just behind Erin in a new PB, also breaking 17 for the first time ever! He finished in 16:54, which earned him 3rd in his very competitive AG.
New H+Per Larry Bradley was in next, crossing the line in 17:07, which is a new Master’s Club Record!
Jonathan destroyed his 5k PB by almost a minute, crushing the course in 17:29. This was his first time breaking 18, and is his new H+P Career Best.
Aidan (aka Rutherford Junior) not only crushed his own father, but crushed his own 5k PB and H+P Career Best in 17:39. This was good enough for 2nd in his AG.
Next in for the team was Peter Haller, who also broke 18 for the first time and ran a new H+P Career best in a blazing 17:51.
Dave Rutherford, coming off of his sub-3 Chicago Marathon PB, ran an impressive 18:04 – good enough for 1st in his AG!
Chris finished just behind Dave in 18:08! Not bad for…zero training?
Kailey was the second female H+Per to cross the line, running an impressive 18:24 and placing 2nd in her very competitive AG!
Pat ran yet another H+P Career Best and 5k PB of 18:26, breaking 19 for the first time! He truly is an up-and-comer!
Gill was 3rd female H+Per, finishing just behind Pat with a new H+P Career Best and 5k PB of 18:37, earning her 3rd in her AG.
Martin ran an outstanding race after coming off a season of cross training and finished in an outstanding 18:39!
Graham finished just behind Martin in an impressive 18:45. He has a knack for pulling things together for these short sufferfests!
Robyn crushed her previous 5k PB by over 1 minute, running 18:54 which is a new H+P Career Best, 5k PB, and her first time breaking 19. This outstanding performance earned her 2nd in her AG!
Jessica finished just behind Robyn in 19:07 and was the 5th female H+Per to cross the line!
Jeff ran a new H+P Career Best and PB of 19:35, shattering his old PB by over 30 seconds.
Adam Dixon ran a new PB of 19:35, crushing his racing partner at the last second with a sprint finish.
Val, who swears she will never again run a 5k race, crushed the H+P master’s club record with a new PB of 19:51, earning her 1st in her AG!
Holger ran a solid 20:03 after battling a calf injury and some downtime from running.
Jan ran a blazing fast 20:13, which is a new H+P PB!
Terry achieved a new H+P Career Best and 5k PB of 20:33, which also improved his ranking time by 15 seconds!
Vicki Z, coming off of 2 marathons (including a PB), destroyed her 5k PB in 20:46, earning her 3rd in her AG.
Howie, also coming off of an impressive Chicago Marathon performance, ran a new PB of 20:57!
Jeremy ran a solid new PB of 21:11, crushing his previous PB by almost 2 minutes!
Trevor came in just behind Jeremy and also crushed his PB, finishing in 21:17.
Jose, with yet another 5k PB for the team, ran a solid 21:39.
Manny placed 2nd in her very competitive AG with a strong 21:52.
Kristin PB’d with an awesome 22:02, which improved her H+P ranking time by 20 seconds and 3 places!
Christine wasn’t even sure if she would be able to complete the entire distance after dealing with a rough week of knee pain, but surprised herself with a new 5k PB of 22:13 and a 2nd place AG award!
Tracy Urquhart ran an H+P Career Best and 5k PB of 22:12, after destroying the Chicago Marathon only 2 weeks ago.
Tracey Kuchma ran a solid 22:37, which improved her H+P ranking time by 19 seconds! This is especially impressive considering she is just coming off her massive PB at the STWM half!
Kim ran a new 5k PB of 22:46 and improved her H+P ranking time by 5 seconds.
Jon, only one week removed from his half marathon, ran a solid 23:18.
Social MVP Mike Hewitson ran an impressive 23:31, earning him 1st in his category.
Alex Hobson, who is new to the running scene, ran an amazing 24:15!
Michelle ran a solid 24:30, which improved her ranking time by 3 seconds. Not bad for running on a broken toe and stopping to tie her shoe! Coach Sean totally busted her during the act!
Julie came in just behind Michelle, running a great 24:42 in her H+P debut!
Gail Delanghe PB’d by well over 1 minute, running 26:11 and earning her 1st place for the 65-69 AG!
Heidi ran 26:30, which was good enough to earn her 2nd in her AG.
Janice ran as an official guide for the 5k, helping her partner run a solid 28:52!
Sam ran 30:31 for the 5k, and was passed by his wife Carrie at the last possible second in a sprint finish.
Jen ran her 3rd fastest correlated 5k time EVER, finishing in a solid 31:02.
Jaime ran a new 5k PB and 2nd fastest correlated time of 32:29!
Miles battled the 5k and finished with a new H+P Career Best and 5k PB of 39:12!

Aaron ran an outstanding new PB and H+P Career Best of 39:28, which earned him 10th overall and 1st in his extremely competitive AG!
Mamiko was next in for the team and the first female H+Per to cross the line in a new 10k PB of 42:49! This time was good enough to earn her top 6 for women and 1st in her AG!
Anne was in next for the team and the 2nd female H+Per, finishing in 43:25. Thats a new 10k PB, H+P Career Best, as well as a 2nd place AG award!
Matt came in next which yet another PB and H+P Career Best in 48:11!

All of our H+P Teams had amazing performances today. We had 8 total teams in the 5k, including two all-females teams and two all-masters teams. Incredibly, 4 of our teams averaged under 19 minutes!
Team H+P- New Balance, which included our team all-stars and NB friend Olympian Alex Genest (along with Sean, Jordan, Greg, Erin), was the 1st H+P team to finish, 2nd OA, with an incredible average time of 16:18. It’s hard to believe that running a sub-17 5K no longer guarantees you a spot in our top 5!
Team H+P Up &Comers (Peter, Pat, Chris, Martin, Adam) was the 2nd H+P team and 3rd overall with an average time of 18:34.
Team H+P Masters Men (Jon, Dave, Graham, Jeff, Holgy), compromised of some of our fastest masters men, finished in 4th overall as our 3rd H+P team with an average time of 18:45! Old dudes getting work DONE!
Team H+P Womens A (Kailey, Gill, Robyn, Jess, Val) was the 1st all-female team, 5th overall team, and 4th H+P team! Their average time was 18:59! H+P women are strong!
Team H+P- Realtor Mike (Terry, Jeremy, Trevor, Jose, Mike) was 7th overall and the 5th H+P team with an average time of 21:42.
Team H+P Masters Women (Manny, Christine, Tracy, Tracey, Michelle), compromised of our fastest masters women, surprised even themselves with an outstanding average time of 22:50. Awesome to see these ladies beating many younger individuals AND teams!
Team H+P Team Kristin (Alex, Kristin, Kim, Janice, Caity) was hoping to take down H+P Team Jon, which they successfully did with an average time of 25:27.
Team H+P Team Jon (Jon, Cathy, Julie, Carrie, Sam), led in by their namesake Jon Krys finished with an average time of 26:55.
