Project Description
Sayaka Tiessen
Coach & Physiotherapist
Sayaka is an avid triathlete, who has qualified twice for the ITU Age Group World Championships in the Olympic distance. Her first foray in long course racing was a 70.3 race where she managed a top 10 finish. When not swim, bike, running, she is rock climbing with her husband and cooking to fuel her exercise addiction.
Sayaka graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2011. Over her career, she has worked at hospitals, private clinics, and as a therapist during the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. She moved from her hometown of Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo in 2018 and works as a physiotherapist in Waterloo at Delanghe Chiropractic & Health.
