H+P had a great time at the 2016 Run Waterloo ReFridgee8er! Here’s how the team did:
Jesse Burt was in first for the team, running 28:39, good for 6th OA and 2nd in his AG.
Nick Burt came in next with 28:46, good for 7th OA and 3rd in AG. He also was able to take down Jordan in the first of many battles in the #NickVsJordan rivalry.
Jordan Schmidt came in right behind Nick with a time of 29:30. This brought him in 10th OA and 2nd in his AG.
Luke Ehgoetz was our first masters runner, 4th on the team with a time of 30:15, 15th OA and good for 1st in his AG.
Jessice Kuepfer was our first female in with a time of 31:22. This placed her 19th OA, 7th female and 3rd in a very competitive AG.
Patrick Spencer came in 6th for the team with a great H+P debut. He ran 31:39, placed 21st OA and 3rd in his AG.
Martin Chmiel had a very solid return to action, running 32:48, placing 3rd in his AG. Hard to believe that less than 2 years ago, 38mins was his 5K PB!
Robyn Collins was our 2nd female to finish with a time of 34:45, 10th OA female, and 2nd in her AG.
Payton Thiel was our 3rd female to cross the line, finishing in 34:57, winning her AG!
Terry Edwards, aka the photo-master, had a great H+P debut. He ran a very solid 36:12, placing 6th in a very tough AG.
Jon Krys crushed his 8K goal of breaking 40 minutes by running 38:39, good for 7th in his AG.
Dan Nakluski battled injury over the last few months, but still managed to run a strong 41:02, placing 10th in his AG.
Michelle Lennox also had a great 1st race with H+P. She ran 42:20, placing 4th in her competitive AG.
Heidi Engelhardt had a great performance of 43:13, bringing her 2nd in her AG! She proved yet again why she is one of our masters female all-stars!
Sandi Swan also had an outstanding first race with the club. She ran 46:56, placing comfortably in the top 10 in her AG despite running 23K just the day before!
8M
RunnerRob had a great performance, showing once again that he has improved leaps and bounds within the last 6 months. He ran a great time of 43:05, good to take the prize money and place 2nd OA!
Coach Gill was in next for the team with a very solid time of 51:54. This brought her in 1st in her AG and 3rd OA for females.
Coach Sean was destroyed by Gill by 1s at the line. He’s contemplating if there’s even a reason to continue to try running. Stay tuned as this story unfolds.
Holger had a very solid race coming in 4th for the team with a time of 52:50, good for 3rd in his AG.
Brian McGrath had an outstanding first race with H+P. He was 5th on our team with a time of 56:32 – good for 5th in his AG. Not bad for the first fast “short” race of his life!
Trevor Boss had an awesome 58:48 finish time. This man has lost 100+ lbs to get to this point, what an amazing result! This was good for 2nd in his AG.
Vicki Zandbergen was hurting today, but still had a solid time of 1:01, good for 4th in her AG!
Shalon Wagner ran a very solid 1:20:31. This was a 25 minute improvement off her time from last year! Not only that, she was up until 3am at her own stag-and-doe the night before. This time was good to take home her category win, too.
