2016 ENDURrace 5K

With ATB taking place the weekend before, the Run Waterloo ENDURrace was our next massive team focus for early 2016!  The team battled through some tough winds for a portion of this course to bring home some outstanding performances.  Here’s how we did:

Run Waterloo Recap

Sean won the race in 16:42.

Jordan Schmidt had his best performance since October 2014, posting a 17:25, placing 3rd OA and 2nd in his AG.greg

Coach Dyce was in next with a strong 17:57, bring him in 4th OA and 3rd in his AG.

Stephen Lake came in next for the team with an H+P career best of 19:01, good for 4th in his AG and 8th OA.

Aaron Grant was 5th on the team with 19:35- not bad for right in the middle of a massive IM build.

Robyn Collins was our first woman in for the team..obviously..because she also won the race OA with a brand new PB of 19:56!

Mamiko had a great performance, running 20:12, good for 2nd OA for women, and 1st in her AG.

Jeff Martin had an amazing return after an extended period of time off after breaking his ankle.  He ran 21:01, placing 2nd in his AG.

Janice Cooper had a very strong 21:38 H+P 5K PB, placing 4th OA for females, and winning her AG!robyn

Terry Edwards posted a very strong 21:53, and a massive 14 pics (many of which were selfies), which brought him in 4th in his AG and 2nd OA for photography right behind Julie.

Jon Krys’ relentless hard work continues to show as he posted yet another PB of 22:22, good for 3rd in his AG.

Tracy Kuchma ran an oustanding 23:33, bringing her in 2nd in her AG.

Vicki had a strong race despite just racing ATB.  She ran 23:48 and placed 2nd in her AG.

Kyle MacKenzie came out of hibernation and ran a strong 24:03, winning his AG!

Michelle Lennox had a massive career best running 24:09, breaking 25 for the first time (and did so by a mile!), and placing 3rd in her AG!terry

Cari had a solid return from an extended period of time off, still running a strong 27:48.

Shalon’s transformation continues to come along at an amazing pace, running a new career best performance among all distances with a time of 28:59, placing 2nd in her category.

Will’s fitness continues to come along nicely too as he ran a very solid 29:15, placing 2nd in his category.

Melissa Sawyer had a career best performance, breaking 30 with a great time of 29:52.

Jen Merrett ran a very strong 31:52, placing 4th in her category.

Teams

The men’s team (consisting of Sean, Jordan, Greg, Stephen and Aaron) managed to set a new event Open Team record with an average time of 18:08!

Props also goes out to Thalmic Labs who won the cooperate team division (consisting of Stephen, Aaron and Mamiko)  with an average time of 19:38!

A huge congrats goes out to our ladies team (lead by Roby, Mamiko, Janice, Tracey and Vicki) who finished with a great average time of 21:52).

Up next, what else?  The ENDURrace 8K!
