The team had a great time at the 2016 ENDURrace 5K last week. The second stage of this 2-race event was the 8K which marked another great race for H+P. Here’s how we did:
8K Results
In first for the team was Coach Sean, finishing 2nd OA in 27:28.
Jordan was in next with a 28:57 PB, good for 4th OA and 2nd in his AG.
Coach Dyce finished in 29:44, placing 5th OA and 3rd in his AG.
Aaron Grant came in with a solid 31:57, placing 9th OA and 4th in his AG.
Mamiko had an outstanding performance, running 32:33, placing 3 OA for women and winning her AG.
Patrick Spencer ran a solid 33:18 placing 5th in his AG and was also the 5th place member of the H+P men’s team.
Robyn Collins ran a strong 33:27 PB, winning her AG and placing 4th OA for women.
Jeff Martin was back in action again, placing a strong 3rd place at 35:40.
Tracey Kuchma produced an amazing PB on limited training, running 38:23 and placing 2nd in her AG.
Jon Krys was in right behind Tracey with a strong 39:30, good for 8th in his AG.
Michelle Lennox was in right behind Jon with an outstanding massive PB of 40:01, good for 4th in her AG.
Will saw a massive spike in his ranking position with a 48:29 finish, bringing him in 2nd in his category.
Jennifer Merrett ran a solid 53:47, placing 5th in her category!
Teams:
The Men’s team set a new event record with an average time of 30:17 (consisting of Sean, Jordan, Greg, Aaron and Pat).
The Women’s team also had a strong showing with an average time of 39:41(consisting of Mamiko, Robyn, Tracey, Michelle, Jen).
Thalmic Labs walked away with another corporate team win with an average finish time of 39:20 (consisting of Aaron, Mamiko)
Combined:
The combined 5K+8K event was especially interesting this year because prize was awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers OA, along with prize money for the top male and female masters finishers.
H+P had 4 runners winning prize money, including Mamkiko winning the women’s event in 52:49, taking home $100! Robyn was very close behind with a combined time of 52:23, good for $75!
On the men’s side, Sean placed second with a combined time of 44:10, while Jordan just beat out coach Greg for 3rd OA with a time of 46:22.
