It’s time to announce our SEVENTH of nine teams for The ENDURrun: H+P Mixed 1! This team is full of strong runners, and is one of 2 mixed teams who are training hard to compete on August 13th!
Goals:
The H+P Mixed Team 1 is in direct competition with the Women’s Masters team and their rivals, H+P Mixed Team 2!
Follow the H+P ENDURrun team challenges starting August 13th!
Stage 1: Half Marathon
Name: Sam Lalonde
Age: 41
Proud PBs: Running 1:39:43 at the 2014 Harvest Half to (just barely) break my 1:40 goal, and finish over 5 minutes ahead of another H+P old guy. You know who you are!
Hardest part about running and how to tackle it: Getting rid of injuries. The only way I’ve found to get rid of a lingering injury is to get a new injury, far worse than the one you already have. Then you forget about the first one. Repeat every few months.
Stage 2: 15km TT
Name: Matt Widmeyer
Age: 33
Proud PBs: Iron Man 70.3 – Muskoka 2016
Hardest part about running and how to tackle it: The hardest part about running is getting started. How I tackle that…Just do it!!
Stage 3: Bechtel 30km
Name: Reza Saputra
Age: 28
Proud PBs: 650+ days of running 10k everyday
Hardest part about running and how to tackle it: Resisting potato chips
Stage 4: 10-mile Wilmot
Name: Anne Aschwanden
Age: 26
Proud PBs: Harvest Quarter Marathon 46:23
Hardest part about running and how to tackle it: Waking up early to run. I tackle it by drinking alot of coffee!
Stage 5: Chicopee 25.6km Alpine
Name: Jeremy Haak
Age: 33
Proud PBs: 35:29 8K at 2017 ENDURrace
Hardest part about running and how to tackle it: I struggle to stay mentally engaged during long runs. I really enjoy trails for these runs as a result as it forces me to keep alert and engaged and I love out in nature.
Stage 6: 10km TT
Name: Graham Stonebridge
Age: 28
Proud PBs: Nothing recent, but a couple back-to-back 1:23 half marathons in 2011
Hardest part about running and how to tackle it: Hardest part is eating enough, solution is cooking for the whole week on Sundays.
