H+P Athlete of the Month: November 2019

It’s time for another H+P athlete of the month award as chosen by our 2018 MVPs and 4 runners up as voted by our members along with coach Sean and Gill.

The athlete of the month best exhibits:

-An amazing level of performance (which can mean from a pure performance standpoint OR personal improvement)

-Contribution to the club in a way that makes it better for all

-Actions that help to make our members feel good, stay motivated and continue to strive toward our goal of bringing athletes of all abilities together

On that note, the winner for November is….Laura Puopolo!

What a great month it’s been for Laura! Coming off of her 19:46 PB at the Waterloo Classic, she had an amazing race at the Remember run, coming in 1st OA female with a time of 48:20.  She’s also proven to be an awesome, hardworking, supportive teammate to those around her when she’s out for practice.  To top it off, she gets bonus points for doing all of this while still balancing being a mom of two youngens and a busy anesthesiologist!
Runners up this month went to Rebecca and Val!  Both had great races at the JFK 50-miler, contributing to the OA women’s team win.  Rebecca also got things rolling with an OA victory in the Remember Run 5K, while Val was the top finisher at JFK in her AG despite just coming off of NYC.  And, as always, these ladies are super supportive teammates and help to lift up those around them.
Congrats all, thanks for helping to make our club great!
