H+P VIRTUAL WEEK – April 26th, 2021

Training:

We’re still building toward l’Alpe de Pain and the FiveBy5K challenge as well- at this phase of the game, one workout/week is a good way to go in order to stay relatively fit with a decreased odds of injury.  As always, modify given where you are with your training!

This week, we’re also including your key cycling workout from physio Sayaka Tiessen for those looking to improve their bike fitness!


Workouts for the week:

H+P FULL VOLUME WORKOUT  (5-10K option)

15-25 minutes WU jog

5x100m strides

1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1′ @ 5-10K Effort, 1.5-2 minutes easy in between each

*option to cut one or both 4′ reps in the middle

15 minutes easy CD



H+P FULL VOLUME WORKOUT  (HM-M option)

15-25 minutes WU jog

5x100m strides

15,10,8,6 @HM effort, 3 minutes shuffle in between

*option to cut out the 8 and/or the 6′ reps

10-20 minutes CD jog

WARM UP
10′ progressive warm up
3×30″ @ 90%/30″ recovery openers
2′ spin out
MAIN SET:
4x[8′ @ 80-90% slow cadence 65rpm, standing every 2min for 10-20sec like you are going around a hairpin // 2′ recovery spin]
5′ Cool Down
