H+P FULL VOLUME WORKOUT (Summer Block 2 Week 6 of 7)
We’re on our way back down…kind of. This one is still tough, but a little lighter than our last few weeks. Next week is all-out taper or recovery week…light this up and you’re in the home stretch!
EVERYBODY:
10-15′ WU
5x100m strides
5′ tempo @ HMP
3′ easy
4 + 8′ @ max 5K effort (OUCH), 3′ easy
5′ easy
6×1′ very hard, 1′ easy
10-15′ CD
MARATHONERS- Do this exact workout. If you’re feeling amazing, add a 2-5K tempo @ HMP-MP after.
TRACK VERSION
20-30WU jog
2 laps of jog the corners, stride the straights
1200m tempo @ HMP- slowish, steady
400m easy
1K and then 2K @ 5K effort, 600m recovery
400m easy
2-3×400 @ hardest sustainable effort, 200m easy
400 easy
0-3x200m at max effort will staying in control, jog diagonal (any sign of injury or getting sloppy, skip this)
10-15′ CD
