H+P VIRTUAL WEEK – May 19, 2025

Training:

We did it- we conquered all the major races of the spring…now we’re onto our summer buffer block of training.  We’re about 20-22 weeks away from our major fall goals.  In the meantime, we’re going to hit a 7 week block of moderate volume and a little more speed.  Once we get through this, we’ll get back to our biggest workouts as we gear up for our biggest races of the fall..let’s go!

H+P SUMMER BLOCK- WEEK 2 of 7

  • 10-20’ WU jog 
  • 5x100m strides 
  • 2×5’ as:
    • 4’ @ 10K effort, 1’ faster than 5K effort 
    • 2’ easy 
  • 3×4’ as:
    • 3’ @ 10K effort, 1’ faster than 5K effort, 2’ easy 
  • 10-15’ CD

TRACK VERSION, do it as:

  • 4 laps of jog corners, stride straights
  • 2×1200 as 800 @ 10K effort, 400@ 5K effort, with 400 recovery
  • 400-800m easy
  • 3x1K as 800m @ 10K effort, 200m @ 5K +, 400m easy
  • CD
