What a weekend of racing! With our big team focuses in the Fall Classic and STWM coming up, we were all over the place racing in a variety of different ways over the last few days. Here’s a summary of how we did!
We had some great results in the 5 and 10K at the Kitchener Kids with Cancer run. Jonah (10 years young!) was out top finisher in the 5K, placing 3rd OA! Ian G won the 10K in a time just over 40 minutes. Check out our full results.
Erie Marathon:
Bruce Grant threw down an amazing 3:07 performance. At the age of 61, this is officially a 60+ club record for the team (which we will start tracking this year). Bryan M ran a strong 3:27. Lindsay Howes had a solid 3:37 performance. Results.
Lake Placid 70.3:
Carole had a great first attempt at a 70.30, placing 26th in her AG.
70.3 World Championships
Coach Mark, had a great performance, finishing with a time of 5:07 good for 278th in his obviously competitive AG.
Jessica finished her race in 5:28 which brought her in 65th in her AG despite just coming off a long-standing foot injury.
Lakeside:
Iron Luke was our top finisher in the Olympic, placing 3rd OA with a time of 2:04 (good for some $ too)!
In the international duathlon, Jan battled hard to place 3rd OA with a time of 2:10- good to earn a spot in the AG world championships for 2020. Michelle Lennox finished in an awesome 2:41 placing 4th OA female and also punching her ticket to the 2020 world championships!
In the sprint du, Terry finished in 1:16 good for 7th in his AG!
Yorkville 5K:
Mike Wan had a very solid performance of 17:41- this is a massive PB despite having heavy marathon legs at the moment!
Haliburton Ultra:
Rebecca had a solid race in the 50miler. She finished with a strong 11:42 placing 27th OA despite using it as a training run.
Jeremy battled hard in the very technical and tough conditions to finish the 100-miler in 28 hours and 14 minutes!
Congrats all, what an awesome weekend of racing. If we missed your results, let us know!
