  • 5K- HM Athletes
10-15′ WU
5x100m strides
5′ easy
8′ tempo @ HMP
3′ easy
2×4′ @ 10K, 2′ easy
3′ easy
2-4×2′ @ 5K +, 1′ easy
10-15′ CD
Modification for Marathoners:
Complete the above, slow things down by 10s’K.  Then, once done, top up with 10-15′ @ HMP!

WARM UP

2’ @ 75%
2′ @ 90%
1’ @ 100%/ 1′ easy
1′ @ 105%/ 1′ easy
1′ @ 110%/ 5′ easy
MAIN SET
3x(3’ @ 105%/ 3’ easy)
1’ easy
3x (2’ @ 110%/ 2’ easy)
2’ easy
4x(1’ @ 115%, 120%, 125%, 130% / 1’ rest) – ie increasing intensity easy repetition up to 130%
