What’s next? Well, everybody has different goals, but MANY are targeting spring marathons and half that are going down in April.
For our purposes, we are going to go a 7-week block focused on peaking at that time. As always, modify these workouts for what your goals are- and when in doubt on how to do so, let us know! Let’s go !
H+P MARATHON/ HM BLOCK- WEEK 5 of 7
5-10K focused athletes:
- 15’ WU jog
- 5x100m strides
- 10-15’ tempo @ HMP
- 5’ easy
- 2 sets of:
- 3’ @ 10K
- 1.5’ easy
- 2’ @ 5K
- 1.5’ easy
- 1 @ faster than 5K
- 3’ easy
- 10-15’ CD
Marathon and HM athletes:
- Bump that first tempo up to 20-25′ @ goal MP OR stick with 10-15 and throw the remaining tempo AFTER your speeder sets.
- go through 3 sets of the above sequence, just cut out the 1′ hard part (so 3x(3′, 2′))
