The 2025 H+P 1M Springblastoff has come and gone…and it was awesome!

As you know, the results of this event were age-graded, meaning those over the age of 30 got a chance to see “what could have been” had they put in the same effort and fitness in their prime. This really shook up the results for both men and women.

MEN’S RACE
On the men’s side, Jon and Sean went 1-2 overall and with age grading. However, Ian Reid got bumped all the way into 3rd form 12th once the grading was applied.
WOMEN’S RACE
On the women’s size, Nicole won OA before and after grading. However, Heather Dixon ran a strong time bringing her from 8th place woman to 2nd OA after the age-grading was applied!
WHO GAINED/LOST THE MOST?
And who did the age grading help the most you ask? Well, it’s not just who is the oldest. It’s about being past your prime but still fast enough to be in close proximity to tightly-clustered younger runners. Here’s a summary of who benefited the most/ would have smoked athletes in their prime:
We also have to give a huge pat on the back to Dana Fox– he is the epitome of grit, positivity and determination in the face of adversity. Stage 4 cancer survivor, his second year completing this event..this time doing it only 6 days post- Boston Marathon!
