H+P Athlete of the Month: May, 2019

It’s time for another H+P athlete of the month award as chosen by our 2018 MVPs and 4 runners up as voted by our members along with coach Sean and Gill.

The athlete of the month best exhibits:

-An amazing level of performance (which can mean from a pure performance standpoint OR personal improvement)

-Contribution to the club in a way that makes it better for all

-Actions that help to make our members feel good, stay motivated and continue to strive toward our goal of bringing athletes of all abilities together

On that note, the winner for May 2019 is…a 4 way tie!

Congrats to Vicky, Reza, Greg C and Coffee on amazing months of May!

Vicky impressed with an amazing overall WIN in the Ottawa half marathon with a H+P A-Standard of 1:22!

Reza and Coffee both threw down in insanely difficult conditions in their first 100-milers.  In an event where only 20% of the athletes finished, both Reza and Coffee completed the event- 22:38 for Reza and 1 day 3:44 for Coffee!

Finally, a massive props to Greg C on hitting a new marathon PB of 2:37, good for first H+P A-Standard for open men in the marathon!

On top of that, all of these athletes are super positive and supportive teammates.  Thanks for inspiring us and making our club better!
