Here at H+P we constantly working towards the balance of welcoming all abilities but also never losing sight of striving to pursue a higher level of performance. Just because you were born with a genetically pre-determined non-elite V02max, why should you miss out on the best coaching and group atmosphere possible as you push to be better?
To honour our athletes of all abilities who are constantly getting better, we are very excited to announce the inception of our H+P PB AWARDS. They work as follows:
(1) Eligible distances include: 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, ultra (50K, 50M, 100K, 100M, ENDURrun). You may only count 1 PB/category/year.
(2) For a series of performances to be eligible you must PB within a given calendar year.
(3) PBs for the first time doing a distance does not count. PBs after beating non-legit efforts do not count. (i.e. you can’t jog a 5K with your 5 year old and then beat it a week later).
(4) To help ensure that the PB attempts are legit, the PB you are beating must have a 5K equiv within 4 minutes of the 5K equiv. of your career best (unless you have a unique set of circumstances that make sense such as an epic blow-up in a marathon).
(5) This 4 minute rule does not apply to ultras necessarily – they will be decided on a case-by-case basis. As long as the distance is reasonably accurate and your previous effort was reasonably hard, it will count.
(6) All road races must be certified or appear to be reasonably within Garmin error of the stated distance.
(7) You must beat the PBs, not tie them.
(8) Track races are acceptable.
(9) You must be a registered H+P member.
(10) You must notify us when you hit your PBs.
(11) En-Route PBs do not count.
(12) Triathlon PBs do not count unless you can convince us that the course was certified- there is just too much inconsistency in course measurement.

You will receive this award if you hit 3 of the above 5 PBs within 1 calendar year. Your prize will include:

-Your name on our PB Awards Page
-Recognition in our club e-mails and social media.
4 STAR AWARD
You will receive this award if you hit 4 of the above 5 PBs within 1 calendar year. Your prize will include:
-1 H+P hat OR pair of sunglasses
-Your name on our PB Awards Page with a small picture
-Recognition in our club e-mails and social media.
5 STAR AWARD
You will receive this award if you hit 5 of the above 5 PBs within 1 calendar year. This is a MAJOR achievement. Your prize will include:
-1 H+P Singlet
-A free membership for life
-Your name on our PB Awards Page with a large picture
-Recognition in our club e-mails and social media with a individual post about you
