2020 in Review!

Well it’s safe to say that was an interesting year!  Despite the craziness that unfolded with COVID, we still managed to pull together some fun team memories and great performances!  Here’s a recap of how things went down:

Things all started normally in the early part of 2020.  We had a great team performance at the 2020 Re-Fridgee-8er. Check out our team results HERE.

We then followed up with a massive showing at the 2020 Chilly Half.  At this point, COVID news was swirling, but we really had no idea to what degree it would impact us!

Early on, were were excited to announce H+P Toronto coming back with the help of Coach Vicky Siemon! Little did we know that we would never have an actual practice..

We came together virtually with our relay- watch it again HERE. We still think Graham had the best performance..

THEN it was a good old fashioned THROW DOWN at the H+P SVEC!  It was awesome seeing so many of you suffer up and down the most painful half course of all time.  Relive the results HERE.

Some people were falling off the map in terms of wanting to train hard.  No harm done as Coach Meredith implemented her H+P Strava Art Challenge.  Andrea was the clear winner with her T-Rex!

Next, we had an epic scavenger hunt- again implemented by Meredith.  It has us exploring and running all over KW in ways we never had as a club.  Check it out HERE.

Then, it was time to get the competitive juices going.  This time Run Waterloo stepped up to put on an in-person 5K TT just for us!  Check out the full results HERE.

Finally, we’ve been topping up the year with priming for the H+P Arctic mile– only a week to go until the pain starts!

It’s been quite the year all!  Definitely one for the memory books.  Thank you for helping us all to get through it safely while still staying fit and enjoying the process!
